Das Boardstein Magazin hat mit seinem Start im Jahr 2000 die deutsche Skateboard-Magazin-Szene gehörig durcheinander gewirbelt und in seinem neunjährigen Bestehen durchaus einige Kontroversen angezettelt. Die Boardstein war nicht nur Aktionsfeld der kleinen Stamm-Mannschaft, sondern wurde auch gerade durch eine große Clique von Fotografen, Schreibern und Grafikern zu einem sehr vielseitigen und bunten Blatt.
Im Jahr 2006 fand ein kleines Redesign der regelmässigen Rubriken statt und bis zur Einstellung des Magazins 2009 gestaltete das »Büro für Grafik Design« auch verschiedene Magazinstrecken.
In the year 2000 the German skateboard magazine szene was thrown into turmoil by the launch of Boardstein Magazine. In its nine-year existence the magazine caused lots of controversy. The »Boardstein« was not only the sphere of action of the small core team, but was also pushed forward by a large group of photographers, writers and graphic artists.
In 2006 a small redesign of the regular columns was done by the »Büro« followed by the creation of several spreads throughout the years of the magazine’s existence.
